Who We Are

Who We Are

"Who Is Family Development Center?"

The Family Development Center is a private, non-profit agency offering support and education services to families experiencing high stress.

High stress is a very complex term. It varies from family to family and may range from; low self esteem to non-diagnosed mental health issues, lack of adequate housing to homelessness, anger management issues to domestic violence and substance abuse.

Family Development Center prevents the cycle of child abuse and neglect through early prevention and intervention services that focus on building successful and resilient children, strengthening parents and preserving families.

How many children do we serve?

In the 2016-2017 school year, Family Development Center served 382 children from 276 families in our programs... therapeutic classrooms, center based programs and home visitation programs.

"The people here have changed the lives of my daughters and me. They have gotten me through some difficult times and are helping me to become a better mom. Without them I think my relationship with my children wouldn't be what it is and they wouldn't be as emotionally strong as they are. I would recommend this facility and their programs to anybody. They are forever in my heart for what they have given me." - FDC parent
